Nail design I did this week. Leopard print!! :D
So easy to do, and there are sooo many different color combinations you can do!

- Clear coat
- Base coat: Revlon top speed nail polish in #810 Hazy (gray)
- LA Colors art decor in 'Black' and 'Intense Pink'

Once you lay down the clear and base coat, use the nail art brush to make pink dots all over the nail. Then use the brush to outline the pink dots with black. The key is to not fully outline the pink dots, but instead outline 3/4 of it. Let dry and top it off with a clear coat to make it look super uh-ma-zing :)

Here's an interesting article I'd love to share with my readers for today!

Polish Up Your Appearance!
By: Jackie Clark

Are you someone who is someone who is dealing with
mesothelioma treatment, you know that life has thrown you for a
loop. In the midst of dealing with the consequences of asbestos

strength simply in taking care of yourself. A little bit of polish to
your body and your mental state can help you stay on top of
things, and at the end of the day, you will discover it takes less
than you think.

First, consider your personal appearance. Subconsciously, you
will find that you simply feel better when you love the way that
you look. Looking good means that you take care of yourself,
and of course you feel good because of it! What small tasks can
you do to make yourself feel good? In the first place, consider
your hair and your hands. If you feel too tired or too drained to
head to the salon, give yourself a little in home beauty treatment
for your hair using coconut oil, olive oil or any other type of
natural oil. Smooth out split ends by sleeking them down with oil,
and then rinse it out a little later. This gives your hair a natural

If you want to make sure that your nails look good, condition
them just the way that you do your hair. Take a small amount of
oil and rub it on your fingernails. This is all you need to do . If

Don’t forget to let color therapy work for you. Think about the
colors that you consider to be your favorites. Chances are good
that there are reasons that they are your favorite. For example,
do you feel particularly calm and serene when you were blues
and greens? Do you feel bright and energized when you wear
red or orange? Take a moment to think about the colors you

love and how you can use them to affect your mood.

Despite your daily challenges and fatigue, choose your favorite

pajamas and put on a lovely robe that makes you feel
wonderfully womanly and elegant. Even if your energy is low you
can feel beautiful resting. It doesn’t have to take a lot of effort to
turn your self esteem around and feel fashionable despite

takes a little bit of time to give you the bounce you need.

I'm back :)

Here's a quick review on a product I purchased a couple weeks ago :)

The thing I like about this palette, is that the bottom row is a row of matte shadows. I love matte eyeshadows, I prefer them over the shimmery ones. However, for this palette, I did not like the first two matte colors. They just looked weird on my eyes, and I thought they were too similar in color. The brown is great and the black is perfect. Shimmers aren't my favorite, but for me the browns in the 3rd column are totally gorgeous. The white in the top left corner is another matte shadow, and I like that one too. Here are swatches:

When it comes down to it, this palette is average. It's not one that I whip out every morning to use. But if I need a great shimmery warm brown, I'll definitely turn to this palette for that look I'm going for :)

Here's a fun nail design I did a few days ago :)

I actually used a strengthener as a base coat, and used LA color's "Atomic" as the base color. Used LA color's nail art deco in "black" for the stripes. I just used small strokes and just had fun with it. It was super easy because not all the stripes had to be the same :) For the ring finger, I just used "Hell to the No" by OPI as the base color.

Just for fun, here's the poster that's hanging on the wall to the right in the polish picture :P

I LOVE Scott Pilgrim lol :)

Get ready for fall!!

 Monday, August 22, 2011

Hey guys, it’s been a while :[ School has started back up, so goodbye summer. Good news though, I’ve been trying out some new eyeshadows that I absolutely adore, I can’t wait to share my opinions.

First up; Alima Pure's Fall Runway Collection. In this collection, you will receive 4 gorgeous colors (all of which are loose powder):

- PRESS PASS LUMINOUS SHIMMER SHADOW: A stunning shimmery dark taupe. Great for the outer corner of your eyelid for a light smoked out look.
- BACKSTAGE SATIN MATTE  EYESHADOW: Looks almost white in my swatch, but it is actually a very pretty pale pink. Perfect matte highlight for the brow. Its satiny feel is very soft, and I love it. Having a matte highlight kind of tones down all the shimmer you’re using all over your lids, so you don’t look like a total disco ball.
- FRONT ROW LUMINOUS SHIMMER EYESHADOW: A gorgeous shimmering pale gold. Gold shadows, like Front Row, seriously grab my attention. I love softer golds, and when I tried this one out, I fell in love with its beauty. Use this color all over the lid, and under the lower lashed for an extra “pop.”
- CATWALK LUMINOUS SHIMMER EYELINER: Shimmery black (comes off as a gunmetal color when used wet). When creating a look with all these colors, using “Catwalk” as an eyeliner is like putting the finishing touch on a masterpiece. This liner doesn’t come off super bold as it appears, but more subtle. Subtle enough to work.

All four of these colors are only available for a limited time only, so grab a set while you can! The collection is priced at $30, and Alima Pure will take $2 from each set and donate it to the Global Fund for Women. And Alima Pure carries the European BDIH “Certified Natural Cosmetics” seal which guarantees that it’s safe for both the body and environment. They use only pure minerals in their products. No dyes, carmine, unnatural preservatives or harmful chemicals. Alima Pure is available at select beauty boutiques and spas, and at http://www.alimapure.com/

Overall, I really liked these shadows. I would say the only con would be that they're too shimmery for me. I personally love matte shadows. And I guess another thing would be that they're a bit light and soft, so these would be great for daytime looks for maybe work or school, not so much for a nighttime dramatic look.

Stick around for my next review :]

I gotz a bunch of new nail polish colors by L.A. Colors last week! And here they are!

Just a pic of my L.A. Colors collection :)

I love L.A. Colors's "Color Crazy" nail polishes! There are sooo many pretty colors to choose from, you'd want to change up your nail color daily :P Here's what I got:

L.A. colors are so cool, they sent me these lovely polishes: [left to right] Black, Silver Glitter, &  Fuel
Atomic && Shock

Fuji Purple (my favorite) && Electric Shock

Fuel && Fuji Purple

Fuel and Electric Charge are kinda similar in color, Fuel just has some shimmer to it and Electric Charge is more of a creme polish (along with fuji purple, atomic, and shock). Overall I really liked these polishes. I would totally purchase more colors :)))))
